This weekend girls high school tennis teams from throughout the southeast will descend on the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama for the McGill-Toolen Invitational. A total 48 teams from 33 schools in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas will participate in the non-elimination dual match format tournament. Teams were split into 16-team divisions based on their UTR ratings. Each dual match will consist of 6 singles and 3 doubles matches. Players may play both singles and doubles. All singles matches will be 2 out of 3 sets with a 10-point tiebreaker for the 3rd set, and all doubles matches will be 8-game pro-sets). Play will begin on Friday at 9:00 AM and resume on Saturday at 8:00 AM. Each of the past three champions will compete in the Girls A Draw including Ocean Springs (2018), UMS-Wright (2017) and St. Joseph's (2016). The boys edition of the tournament will take place on March 29th - 30th, 2019.
